Why I use Juice Plus Complete and a few yummy recipes too!

Adding ¼ cup vanilla or chocolate Juice Plus complete adds phytonutrients, B vitamins, minerals, soluble and insoluble fiber from gluten free grains, sprouts, vegetables and fruits, not to mention, packing in protein from four different plant sources to your every day smoothie.


We all struggle to get the right food into our kiddos bodies (heck, who we kidding, should I say into our adult bodies) and there is not way are getting the nutrition we need from the food we consume daily! This cup of deliciousness provides so many of the anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, immunity balancing, digestive magic that we all need more of! Can you imagine? We're supposed to get our kiddos to consume 3-5 servings of fruits and veggies a day! That number increases to 10-12 for adults! Yikes! For what you might ask? In short, in order to maximize our health outcomes, to feel our best and fuel our cells.


I've tried most protein powders on the market, and for me, this one is hands down, the best tasting, most nutrient rich, cleanest version I have found. I personally think we all get enough protein from animal sources (thus, the need for more plant proteins - think rice, pea, chick-pea, legumes, water washed, low processed, non-GMO soybeans), and I think most powders are either all greens or all protein. This one is called "Complete" because it touches on all those little quadrants within the myPlate - fruits, veggies, whole grains and proteins. By adding a spoonful of nut-butter or a few nuts or seeds (almonds, walnuts, cashews, pecans, sunflower, pumpkin, flax, etc.), you take it to the next level by adding in even your healthy omega 3 fats (polyunsaturated fats) which we all need more of and BAM! you've hit ALL your macronutrients and little myPlate quadrants in one drink!

Tropical Smoothie

• ½ c. frozen pineapple or mango

• 1/2 frozen banana

• 1/8 (a small sliver) of a ripe avocado

• 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or non-dairy milk of choice)

• 4 ice cubes

• 1 scoop of Juice Plus Complete Vanilla


Strawberry (or cherry) Swirl

• ½ c. frozen strawberries or cherries

• ½ frozen banana

• a few raw spinach leaves

• 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or non-dairy milk of choice)

• 4 ice cubes

• 1 scoop of Juice Plus Complete Vanilla


Blueberry Muffin Smoothie

• 1/2 banana, frozen

• 1/3 cup blueberries, frozen

• 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or non-dairy milk of choice)

• 2 Tbsp. Rolled oats, raw (old fashioned rolled oats)

• 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

• 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or non-dairy milk of choice)

• 4 ice cubes

• 1 scoop of Juice Plus Complete Vanilla


Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup

· 1/2 frozen banana

· 2 tsp. peanut or almond butter

· ¼ tsp. cinnamon

· 1/8 ripe avocado

· ¼ cup scoop Chocolate Complete

· 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or non-dairy milk of choice)

· 4 ice cubes

· 1 scoop of Juice Plus Complete Chocolate


Chocolate Cherry Blast

· ½ cup frozen cherries

· ½ frozen banana

· 1 handful raw spinach

· 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or non-dairy milk of choice)

· 4 ice cubes

· 1 scoop of Juice Plus Complete Chocolate



Add all ingredients to your Nutri-bullet or Vitamix and enjoy!
